About Tintagel Guesthouse
Tintagel is a 100 year old home located in the historic residential area behind the Nelson Cathedral.
Celebrated NZ digital design studio Envisage Design operates from the front house. Proprietors Simon Owen and Kay McQuire are your hosts at Tintage Cottage.
This Nelson homestead is a two story transitional villa, with a blend of older and new architectural features. Your Guesthouse Cottage is located in the established gardens to the rear of the property.
The Tintagel Guesthouse (pronounced Tin-ta-jel) is only a 5 minute walk into the centre of town. Sheltered, private and warm, the guesthouse offers tranquil surroundings with the benefit of being very close to the wide selection of activities and attractions that Nelson has on offer.
There are numerous walks, both easy or more challenging in the immediate vicinity. There are plenty of wide open parks and picturesque rivers to explore.
The guesthouse itself can be described as a large modern studio. It comes complete with kitchenette, luxury bathroom, entertainment area, separate laundry and secure storage facilities. Wireless internet is available to all guests. There is plenty of safe on-street parking.
The Tintagel Guesthouse comes fully furnished and ready for your comfortable occupancy.
North-facing French doors open onto a glorious garden, full of colour and home to various native New Zealand birds. The aspect of the architecture takes full advantage of the famous Nelson sunshine. An oversized chess board sits beside the cottage.
Inside, the guesthouse is tastefully decorated with New Zealand artworks. The cottage is secure and warm. Perfect for couples or singles.
Preferred short-term stay rates are available for transitional travellers or guests who need somewhere comfortable to stay for up to 6 months. Please check the availability and rates.
